The Central Private Redhawks competed in the Lion’s Club Soccer Tournament held last weekend at the Cajun Industries Soccer Complex in Gonzales. The Redhawks played Saint Charles Friday night in a tough game with neither team scoring in the first half, but the Redhawks answered with four goals in the second half. The final score was 4-0 in favor of the CP. The Redhawks faced Houma Christian Saturday and Houma scored early in the first half, but the Redhawks scored shortly after tying the game at halftime. The Redhawks scored two more goals in the second half, making the final score 3-1. Next, the Redhawks played Covenant Christian. Central Private started things off by scoring midway through the first half making the score 1-0 at halftime. The Redhawks then scored two more in the second half, making the final score 3-0. This victory sent the Redhawks to the championship where they faced Christ Episcopal. Christ Episcopal scored five in the first half and the RedHawks were unable to make a goal. Episcopal then followed in the second half with three more goals, making the final score 8-0 Christ Episcopal.
